Coast Guard Academy

Located in New London, CT, the United States Coast Guard Academy provides education for future officers, and occasionally hosts musical and theatric performances. The Academy is about a 20 minute drive. Make a left out of the driveway and left at the first light. At the next light, you cross the Thames River. Take Route 32 South until you come to the Academy. It will be on your left.

Foxwoods Resort and Casino

The Foxwoods Resort and Casino is a great choice for experiencing live performances, comedy, and games of chance. They also have over 30 dining options ranging from contemporary gourmet to classic comfort fare. Take a right out of the driveway and go one mile to Route 2. Turn right and Foxwoods is four miles away.

Take the same exit off of 395 to get to the Mohegan Sun and Captain Grant’s.

Mystic Aquarium and Mystic Seaport

Mystic Aquarium is a must-see in the Mystic area, featuring a diverse set of marine animals from around the world. The Mystic Seaport Museum offers a unique look at the past of the Mystic, CT area, from historic ships to a 19th-century village. United States Submarine Base

The Naval Submarine Base New London is in the nearby town of Groton, CT. If you're lucky, you might be able to catch a glimpse of one docked in the Thames River. Make a left out of the driveway. At the first light turn left. This is Route 12. Follow it for about 15 to 20 minutes. The Base is on the right.
