Captain Grant's, 1754 is located between Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun Casinos, a short scenic drive away from the famous tourist destination, Mystic, CT.
Our historic Connecticut bed and breakfast features a pristine location in the countryside of Poquetanuck, CT. We're close enough to the Mystic Coast to experience the best attractions in the area, yet secluded enough to grant you the utmost privacy.
Each morning, you'll be able to enjoy one of our full country breakfasts. In the summer you eat on the deck, and in winter you sit by a roaring fire. Dessert, wine, beer, and soda are complementary all day.
Sit on one of our three decks, or out in our four-acre backyard with a glass of wine and reminisce about your day at one of the many local attractions, such as Mystic Seaport, Foxwoods, the Mohegan Sun, or other area attractions. Finally, at bedtime enjoy a sip of crème sherry from the carafe in your room.
These are just a few experiences that await you here at Captain Grant's Historic Inn. See our amenities page for all that we offer our guests.
When looking for lodging, Captain Grants is an excellent alternative when compared to a Hotel.
The
AVERY HOME next door
Located next door, The Avery Home is on the National Register of Historic Places. The front of the Home was built in the 1600s as a blacksmith's forge. In 1790 it became a home, and in 1827 the back extension was added. Keeping with the historic charm of the home, all of the fireplaces in this home are wood burning, and the famous Holly and Margaret rooms are located here.
Stay at Connecticut's most Haunted Inn and participate in a variety of group Halloween activities including a Ghost tour, storytelling, seance's, delicious meals and spiked Cider.
For a true, old-fashioned experience, stay in one of our rooms with a wood-burning fireplace. The crackling fire will add another layer of coziness to your stay.
